Huble Homestead in Prince George |
Wednesday
July started off with a super-fun road trip to Prince George! We also attended a summer festival and carnival (where I lost $15 playing over under haha), celebrated a couple birthdays, and swam in a freezing cold lake!
You'll notice my expenses blow up this month because I bought plane tickets and bus tickets for later this year. Minus those, my variable spending was still quite high at $450!
Here's my spending breakdown:
- Prince George road trip: $117.36 (including gas, accommodations, and food)
- Groceries: $139.76
- Restaurants: $65.98 (including buying dinner for visiting parents)
- Events (a festival and a carnival): $36.25
- Birthday gift: $30
- Birthday celebration: $19.84
- Chromebook: $16.20 (in taxes—paid using points)
- Sponsored a work celebration: $25
- Plane tickets to Toronto for November: $289.45
- Bus tickets to Lethbridge: $193.88
- Subtotal of variable spending: $933.72
- Subtotal of fixed expenses (rent, insurance, utilities, interwebs, phone, and Netflix): $485
Grand total of all July expenses: $933.72 + $485 = $1,418
I failed my challenge for the 5th month in a row! Doh!
